Fortune Telling Cards
These are certainly among the best-known fortune telling
cards in the U.S., aside from such Tarot decks as the Rider. It has
been in continuous publication since its introduction in 1904, and
remains to this day essentially unchanged. The Encyclopaedia of
American Playing Cards says of it:
"Gypsy Witch celebrated FORTUNE TELLING cards by
Madame Lenormand, copyrighted 1903 by Frederick J. Drake Co., first
published by Home Game Co., in 1904. This deck has been published
continuously and is currently being made by U. S. Playing Card Co.,
using the same faces. The recent edition has a witch on the backs
replacing the original river scene."
As with every other fortune telling deck, each of
the cards
has a specific symbolic meaning, which becomes significant in the
context of its position in the layout. The gypsy witch fortune
telling cards all contain
original, standard faces, reduced so that the meanings and
illustrations can occupy the remaining space.
A Lot less scarier than
Tarot cards.
I got these because Tarot cards scare the death out of most people, we
had a girly night in, the vino was flowing and we all had a turn,
amazing stuff was told to us all, we had a brill time and felt better
after we had our predictions, cos the biggest part of us was down right
unhappy, until we had the good news of course.
I must admit we were all amazed as most of the
stuff was true.

Very accurate cards but NOT
a beginners deck! !
I would like to correct "A reader from USA". It deck has nothing in
common with Tarot and comes from a totally different tradition.
It is not even called Tarot! Those looking for a new
spin on Tarot will be very disappointed. But one can use these gypsy
witch fortune telling cards
well if they already understand divination with standard playing cards.
I have Gypsy blood in my family (Great Grandmother)
and feel a strong connection with these cards. I am a medium and also
work with a Gypsy Guide. These cards are fantastic for experienced
readers who are looking for alternatives to the Tarot!
Not your standard tarot
deck.
The Gypsy Witch fortune telling cards deck contains only 52 cards, as opposed to the usual 78
in a tarot deck. These cards more closely resemble a standard deck of
playing cards than a deck of tarot cards, as well. They are not as
colourful or artistic as some of the tarot decks. They are easy to read, as the meaning of each card is
printed on it. The booklet that accompanies the deck is helpful. These
cards might be good for a beginner.
